Leveraging their experience serving and supplying winemakers for more than 20 years, Jason & Deb Harris launched Stone & Key Cellars in Montgomeryville in Autumn 2013. The winery currently offers patrons a unique, hands-on experience creating their own wine at a state-of-the-art commercial winery. The grapes are sourced from some of the finest regions of California, Washington, and Chile.
Stone and Key’s extremely talented cellar staff is also crafting world-class wine within our facility. Guests are welcome to join us at our tasting bar to sample through a flight of wine (or hard cider!), and pick up a few bottles to take home!
DESIGNING YOUR OWN WINE
At Stone & Key Cellars, you are integral to the winemaking process even before the grapes arrive. The first step is to schedule an appointment with one of our cellar staff, and they will help you taste through several examples wines before deciding exactly what you would like to make. Choose from dozens of varietals, or we can help you design your perfect blend.
Once the grapes arrive, invite family and friends to share in the production of a full barrel (288 bottles), or bring colleagues from work for an unforgettable team-building activity. Either way, you’ll experience centuries-old winemaking techniques, including: crushing and destemming grapes, pressing wine, the art of blending, and lastly, bottling! Most importantly, you will be enjoying your wine and talking about the great time you had together for years to come.
